I. General Principles
The IETI Global Leadership Award aims to recognize outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, influence, and contributions in academia, education, science, technology, industry, and international cooperation. The selection and evaluation process adheres to the principles of fairness, professionalism, inclusiveness, global perspective, and credibility, with emphasis on comprehensive impact, visionary leadership, and social contribution.

II. Core Evaluation Criteria
1. Academic and Professional Excellence
Candidates should have achieved significant original accomplishments, theoretical breakthroughs, or influential professional practices in their respective fields, with recognized impact in academia, industry, or professional communities. Their work should contribute substantially to disciplinary advancement, technological progress, or industrial development.

2. Global Vision and International Collaboration
The award values contributions to international cooperation, including cross-border research collaboration, global talent cultivation, international organizational development, multinational project coordination, and contributions to global academic and technological governance. Particular attention is given to the candidate’s international influence, representation, and global engagement.

3. Social Contribution and Industry Impact
Candidates should demonstrate meaningful contributions to social development, industrial advancement, public governance, education, or human well-being. Emphasis is placed on the practical application, societal value, and sustainable impact of their achievements.

4. Innovation and Strategic Leadership
Candidates are expected to demonstrate visionary and strategic leadership in advancing emerging fields, promoting interdisciplinary integration, building innovation platforms, and fostering international collaboration mechanisms.

5. Talent Development and Social Responsibility
Consideration is given to contributions in mentoring young scholars, strengthening academic communities, promoting international educational cooperation, supporting public welfare, and fulfilling broader social responsibilities.

6. Academic Integrity and Professional Reputation
Candidates must uphold high ethical and professional standards, maintain academic integrity, and possess strong international standing and professional reputation. Individuals with records of academic misconduct, legal violations, or serious public controversies may be disqualified from consideration.

III. Selection Process
The selection process combines expert nomination, independent peer review, document evaluation, and comprehensive assessment. Priority consideration may be given to candidates recommended by IETI Fellows, partner institutions, international academic leaders, or internal nomination channels. The review focuses on contribution, leadership, international influence, and professional reputation, without rigid quantitative thresholds. Particular importance is attached to the originality, influence, demonstrative significance, and long-term value of the candidate’s achievements, ensuring the authority, professionalism, and fairness of the award.

IV. Nomination Materials
Applicants or nominators are generally required to prepare and submit the following materials:
1. Nomination form or recommendation letter;
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV);
3. Personal statement or summary of achievements;
4. Supporting materials demonstrating academic, professional, or leadership contributions;
5. Other relevant documents deemed necessary for evaluation.

V. Nomination and Announcement Timeline
The IETI Global Leadership Award is generally awarded annually.
The deadline for nominations and submission of supporting materials is April 30 each year. Final results are generally announced before June 30 of the same year. Specific dates may be adjusted subject to the annual evaluation schedule and official announcements.
