The IETI Green Development and Sustainability Award (GDSA) is one of the most prestigious honors established by the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI), aimed at recognizing and promoting groundbreaking contributions to environmental protection and sustainable development. This award underscores the Institute's commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and global environmental stewardship. It serves as a hallmark of excellence for individuals whose innovative research and leadership have significantly advanced the fields of green development and sustainability on a global scale.
Recipients of the GDSA are esteemed figures from leading international universities, distinguished science academies, and prominent research institutions. Their pioneering work has not only reshaped academic discourse but also influenced global policy and practical applications in sustainability. By honoring these trailblazers, the award amplifies the critical importance of integrating sustainability into scientific research, innovation, and real-world practices, positioning itself as a key driver of change in the global transition to a greener future.
The award is open to all IETI members and fellows, with nominations welcomed from senior researchers, professors, and leaders in related fields. The GDSA Committee rigorously evaluates nominees based on their outstanding achievements in green development, innovative contributions to sustainability, and long-term impact on global environmental goals. Special consideration is given to those who have actively contributed to advancing the Institute's mission and values through participation in its conferences, publications, and activities.
This award is dedicated to senior researchers and full professors (with no age limit), recognizing those whose visionary research has had a lasting, positive impact on the world.
