From December 14th to 16th, 2024, the 2024 4th International Symposium on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (ISBDAI) was jointly hosted by the International Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Society (IDSAI), the International Academy of Online Engineering (IAOE), University Giustino Fortunato in Italy, and the Industry-University-Research Society of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI). The event was held in a hybrid format (online + onsite) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with nearly 80 participants.

The on-site event attracted teachers and students from institutions such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shue Yan University, the University of Hong Kong, Zhejiang University, Washington University in St. Louis (USA), the University of Oxford (UK), Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Bern University of Applied Sciences (Switzerland), the University of Twente (Netherlands), Wuhan University of Technology, Guangdong University of Technology, Shanghai International Studies University, Macau University of Tourism Studies, European University of Cyprus, Minjiang University, Wuhan University of Communication, and Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School.
