
The International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) Secretariat recently issued official certificates to 36 newly elected Fellows for 2026, comprising 4 Laureate Distinguished Fellows, 21 Distinguished Fellows, and 11 Fellows.
I. Overview of the InstituteThe IETI Secretariat announced that under the leadership of its President in 2026, the Institute organized 5 high-level conferences across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. These activities were conducted in partnership with premier global organizations, including IAOE, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Columbia University, the Romanian Academy, and Korea University.
Distinguished participants included a UN Assistant Secretary-General, Nobel Laureates, Wolf Prize winners, Eni Award laureates, Sloan Research Fellows, university presidents and deans, academy presidents, association presidents, and national academy fellows. Renowned scholars attended from leading institutions such as The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, HKUST, City University of Hong Kong, Zhejiang University, Stanford, Washington University in St. Louis, UPenn, Columbia, Oxford, Cambridge, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and Korea University.
With a fellow network featuring 14 Nobel Laureates, 5 Turing Award winners, 3 Fields Medalists, and 24 Wolf Prize winners, IETI stands as a premier international honors organization. Since its inaugural election in 2015, IETI has continuously selected top global scholars for 12 consecutive years. The 2026 class spans 21 countries across five continents (Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, and Oceania), including:

All fellows underwent a rigorous five-stage evaluation: preliminary screening, nomination, qualification review, anonymous voting, and final determination. The fellowship encompasses cutting-edge fields such as AI, quantum computing, new energy, green chemistry, climate change, life health, advanced materials, and smart infrastructure.

Academician Ferenc Krausz: 2023 Nobel Laureate in Physics, attosecond physics authority, and Director at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics.
Academician Benjamin List: 2021 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, leader in organocatalysis, and Director at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung.
Academician Peter Wilkinson Howitt: 2025 Nobel Laureate in Economics, co-creator of the Schumpeterian growth theory, and Professor at Brown University.
Academician Philippe Mario Aghion: 2025 Nobel Laureate in Economics, pioneer of creative destruction and endogenous growth models, and Professor at LSE.
