From July 28 to August 2, 2026, the 2026 International Seminar on Teacher Competence Improvement and the China-ASEAN STEM Teacher Training Workshop, co-hosted by Guiyang Institute of Humanities and Technology and University of Da Nang - University of Science and Education, and supported by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the ASEAN-China Centre, and the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, were successfully held and concluded at Guiyang Institute of Humanities and Technology.

Prof. Gabriel Yue, Executive President of the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI), Academician of the Pakistan Academy of Engineering, and Vice Rector of Turon University, delivered a keynote speech titled "Future-Oriented STEAM Education: Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Applied Technologies." Drawing upon the development history of IETI and his extensive background in international cooperation, Prof. Yue forward-lookingly outlined the theoretical evolution and practical tools of big data, AI, and applied technologies. Addressing core challenges in STEAM education, he integrated the "5-Mentors" training framework to deliver high-quality specialized training to university teachers from ASEAN countries, including Vietnam and Thailand, through vivid case studies and hands-on exercises. The sessions received enthusiastic engagement and unanimous high praise from attendees.

Prof. Yue possesses profound expertise in international cooperation and has established a broad and in-depth collaborative network across multiple ASEAN nations. He previously served as a Distinguished Professor at a university in Thailand, engaged in deep academic collaboration and young scholar cultivation in Malaysia, and maintained close academic exchanges with Vietnamese institutions while serving as an editorial board member for local academic journals. Furthermore, he has built long-term academic ties and collaboration mechanisms with university presidents, academicians, and renowned scholars in countries including Singapore, Cambodia, the Philippines, Brunei, and Indonesia.

Professor Yue engaged in exchanges with university presidents, deans, and professors from China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia. On behalf of IETI, he presented the 10th Anniversary Commemorative Coin and a Springer conference proceedings to Professor Vo Van Minh, Rector of the University of Danang - University of Science and Education, Vietnam.

Additionally, Professor Yue presented gifts from China to student representatives who demonstrated outstanding classroom performance.
