On June 7, the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) announced the recipients of the 5th IETI Doctoral Fellow Award. The winners are Lehang Cai, a Ph.D. candidate from Tsinghua University, China, and Zeyuan Wang, a Ph.D. candidate from Paris-Saclay University, France.
Scholar Profiles
Lehang Cai obtained his bachelor's degree in Statistics from Beijing Normal University and was admitted directly into the Ph.D. program in Statistics at Tsinghua University. He has spent time as a visiting scholar at the University of Toronto, Canada, and has received numerous honors and awards. To date, he has published 7 journal papers and 3 conference papers as the first author, and has 1 journal paper accepted as the corresponding author. His primary recommender is a Distinguished Fellow of IETI.
Award Citation: In recognition of his research in statistical inference for complex data, particularly for his dedicated work in high-dimensional, functional, and time series data.
Zeyuan Wang graduated from Beihang University with a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering / Information and Computing Science. He received his master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Paris-Saclay University, France, where he is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Control Engineering. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, and has won multiple honors and academic awards. He has published 6 journal papers and 6 conference papers as the first author, and 1 journal paper as the second author. His primary recommender is a Distinguished Fellow of IETI.
