
On November 12, the International Engineering and Technology Institute (IETI) announced the appointment of a new Honorary President: Dr. Vinton Gray Cerf, a Turing Award laureate, one of the "Fathers of the Internet," IETI Laureate Distinguished Fellow, former President of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and Vice President at Google.
On behalf of IETI, representatives including Professor James Crabbe (IETI President and affiliated with Wolfson College, University of Oxford), Professor Marc Paolella (IETI Co-Founder and affiliated with the University of Zurich, Switzerland), Professor M. Chadli (IETI Secretary-General and affiliated with Université Paris-Saclay, France), and Professor Julien S. Baker (President of the IETI Board of Supervisors, and former Professor at Hong Kong Baptist University) extended a warm welcome to his appointment.
