On January 25, 2025, Avinash Kumar Agarwal, the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, was awarded the 2025 3rd IETI Ramesh Agarwal Lifetime Achievement Award in Science, Engineering or Technology.

Reason for the award: He has made outstanding contributions in the fields of mechanical engineering and energy research.
