March 30, 2022, IETI Distinguished Fellow Jack J. Dongarra named the 2021 ACM A.M. Turing Award Laureate for pioneering contributions to high performance computational research.

Let's congratulate Jack J. Dongarra on this great personal success. So far, IETI has 3 Turing Award Laureates.

The Turing Award is the world's top award, known  as the Nobel Prize in Computing. Since there is basically only one winner every year, as of 2022, there will be a total of 75 laureates, and the number of winners is far less than the Nobel Prize.

Prof. Dr. Jack J. Dongarra is the IETI Distinguished Fellow,  AAAS Fellow, IEEE Fellow, ACM Fellow, SIAM Fellow, Member of the American National Academy of Engineering, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Fellow of the Royal Society of the United Kingdom. He has won important awards from ACM/IEEE/SIAM and other organizations.
