Jing Sun is Professor of biostatistics at School of Medicine andDentistry, Griffith University and lead of Medical Student Research Committeeat Griffith University. She is an elected Fellow of International Institute ofTechnology and Engineering, Accredited Statistician by Australia Society ofStatistics, and Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (UK). She leads alarge scale Chronic Diseases/Mental Illness randomised controlled trials andcohort studies focusing on the prognosis and treatment of patients withcardiovascular disease, diabetes and mental disorders in the era of effectivelifestyle based rehabilitation and cognitive behavioural therapy. Her otherresearch interests include methodology for aging population health care andpublic health services research and health care model for COPD patients, dentalpatients, maternal and preterm infants health, and prevention of birth defectresearch at national and global level. Most of Jing's studies apply big sciencebased analytical methods, ranging from machine learning, global level dataanalysis, multi-level analysis, meta-analysis, Bayesian approach, time series,S16 Sequencing, neuroimaging, to machine learning methods for national andglobal large clinical and survey data. She was President of Queensland ChineseAssociation of Scientists and Engineers (2019-2021) and present chair ofcouncil of QCASE, Australia, and vice president of Australia Federation ofChinese Scholars. She has total 250 peer reviewed journal publications withover citations of 7200.
