I am an Associate Dean for Research at CECOS University with over 15 years’ industry/research/teaching experience in engineering, operations, Sustainable development, planning, policy, environmental management and commissioning of major projects within energy sector. My research focuses on system modeling and reducing the environmental impacts of energy systems in developing countries. The scientific relevance of my research activity is demonstrated by the publication of over 103 peer-reviewed articles in the world's top energy journals (some of which have an acceptance rate of less than 5%), 17 of which have been cited more than 100 times each. Moreover, 15 of my publications are rated by the Web of Science ESI (Essential Science Indicators) as Highly Cited Papers (top 1% citation in the chosen field). With an H-index of 42 and over 5300 citations, I place among the World’s Top 1% (at 29170th position) in the "2022 Global Scientists Influence Ranking" chosen from nearly 7 million scientists by Standford University. My contributions in the energy field have been recognized by several exclusive and competitive national and international awards and honors, such as: Energy Engineer of the Year – Association of Energy Engineers, USA (2021); GRIT Award by Experience Energy, USA (2018); Research Productivity Award by Pakistan Council for Science & Technology, Govt. of Pakistan (2016); Top Peer Reviewer Award in Engineering Category-2019 by Web of Science, USA. I hold PhD degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Reading, UK and I am an elected Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (FIET), UK.
