Dr. Muhammad Sharif is an Advisor Science and Technology at Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco. Prior to join ICESCO Dr. Sharif was serving as Asst. Professor at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He earned his graduation from Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT) and Institute of Organic Chemistry, University of Rostock Germany. He held various research positions within academics and industrial environments throughout his career with major emphasis on materials synthesis and catalytic process development. Sharif is also an entrepreneur with experience in technology development and commercialization for diverse application in upstream, downstream petrochemical and construction chemical industry. Prior to his employment at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals Saudi Arabia, he was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology Abbottabad Pakistan, Senior Scientist, Team Leader and Head of Bulk Chemical Labs at LeibnizInstitute for Catalysis Rostock, Germany. His research experience and expertise spans a wide range of topics in development of new materials, their application in industrially relevant applications, Pharmaceuticals, Organic Synthesis, Applied catalysis, such as Synthetic organic & Organometallics, Homogeneous/Heterogeneous Catalysis, Catalyst Separation and Recycling, Nanotechnology, Olefin Polymerization & Oligomerization, Hydroformylation, CO2 Utilization, C-H activation. Sharif is also a member & Chartered Chemist at Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), American Chemic Society (ACS), Saudi-American International Chemical Society, and German Chemical Society. Scientific Review Panel member for various organizations. Sharif is also an Expert-Reviewer Panel Member for different thesis committees at Jacobs University Bremen, Germany. Expertise in catalyst (homogeneous, heterogeneous, nanomaterials and pharmaceuticals) synthesis development, screening and process development. Dr. Sharif has more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 3 published/issued patents with 6 patent application filed. Dr Sharif has delivered around 200 public talks, seminars, presentations around the world, which include, as Plenary, Keynote speaker, public seminar, motivational talks as well as talk in different chemical industries, e.g, Evonic Germany, Saudi Aramco, Sipchem, Halliburton, Honeywell and Dhahran Techno Valley KSA.
