Joao Franco holds a PhD in Business Management and Direction from the University of Vigo- Faculty of Business Sciences (Spain), with a foreign degreein Portugal registered by the University of Minho. He holds a Master's degreein Economic and Social Studies from the University of Minho with the finalclassification of Very Good and has a degree in Management. He is professionalized in service in the area of Economics (pedagogical internship)by UTAD, with a final average of 18 values.As a researcher, he is currently an integrated member of CITUR- Scientific Council of the Center for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism,having also belonged to CETRAD-UTAD, until 2014. He is the author of severalpublications, namely two books: the Economics book published in 2007 by the publisher "Cidade Berco" entitled "Professional Training and Regional EconomicDevelopment" and more recently, in January 2018, the book in the area of management withthe title "Entrepreneurship and Knowledge Management", edited by "Morebooks". He is alsothe author of several articles at scientific conferences, regional weeklies, as well as researchpapers and manuals on Marketing and business communication.Nowadays, is an invited adjunct professor at IPB - Esact. (Polytechnic Institute of Bragan?a). He also teaches as a guest assistant at UTAD in Vila Real and at IPVC –ESTG, Viana do Castelo, in theareas of marketing, entrepreneurship, business innovation and creativity, economics andmanagement.He belongs to academic title evaluation committees, being a jury in defense of undergraduate,master's and doctoral exams. He is a supervisor for master's, undergraduate and internshiptheses. Performed functions as course director, class director, economics disciplinary groupcoordinator, internship supervisor, member of juries in pedagogical tests, monograph advisor,reports, dissertations conferring an academic degree, among other pedagogical and technicalpositions.He also served as a lecturer at the University of Salamanca and Escola Superior de Enfermagemde Chaves. He has been a trainer and consultant for companies since 1996, in the areas of Business Strategy, Marketing, Entrepreneurial Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship.
