Dr. Prasanalakshmi Balaji is a Research professor at the College of Computer Science, King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. She received a Ph.D. from Bharathiar University, India, a Master of Computer Applications, a Master of Philosophy in Software Engineering from Bharathidasan University, and a Master of Computer Engineering with Distinction from Anna University, India, in the Field of Cryptography and security. In continuation, she has completed a Postdoctoral fellowship in the Data Science Laboratory at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She has over 18 years of experience in teaching and research at multiple institutions, including King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. She was invited as a visiting professor from the School of Technologies at Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK, and a Distinguished Adjunct faculty member in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai, India, and associated with the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Shaoxing University, Shaoxing, China; the Institute of Computer Science, Vikram University, India; and the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, India. She served as Session Chair and Session Co-Chair in National and international conferences, as well as faculty development programs, delivering keynote speeches. Completing eight funded projects worth INR 2 crore resulted in successful publications in WoS and Scopus journals, as well as the grant of ten international patents. She is also a winner and first position holder of a cash award for research and innovation from the Deanship of Quality Affairs at King Khalid University. KSA (2022). She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA-UK) and a Senior Member of the IEEE. Her areas of interest include neural networks, Medical Imaging, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Data Science, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
