Prof. Dr. Patrick S. P. Wang, Northeastern University, USA
Patrick S. P. Wang, Fellow of IAPR, ISIBM, IEEE and WASE, has been tenured full professor of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University, USA, Shanghai East China Normal University Zi-Jiang Visiting Chair Professor, research consultant at MIT Sloan School, and adjunct faculty of computer science at Harvard University. He received PhD in C.S. from Oregon State University, M.S. in I.C.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S.E.E. from National Taiwan University and B.S.E.E. from National Chiao Tung University (Hsin-Chu campus, Taiwan).
As IEEE and ISIBM Distinguished Achievement Awardee, Dr. Wang was on the faculty at University of Oregon and Boston University, and senior researcher at Southern Bell, GTE Labs and Wang Labs prior to his present position. Dr. Wang was Otto-Von-Guericke Distinguished Guest Professor of Magdeburg University, Germany, and iCORE (Informatics Circle of Research Excellence) visiting professor of University of Calgary, Canada, Honorary Advisor Professor for China’s Sichuan University, Xiamen University, and Guangxi Normal University, Guilin, Guangxi. In addition to his research experience at MIT AI Lab, Dr. Wang has been visiting professor and invited to give lectures, do research and present papers in a number of countries from Europe, Asia and many universities and industries in the U.S.A. and Canada. Dr. Wang has published over 200 technical papers and 26 books in Pattern Recognition, A.I. and Imaging Technologies and has 3 OCR patents by US and Europe Patent Bureaus.

Prof. Dr. R. Saurel, University of Provence Aix-Marseille I, France
Prof. R. Saurel, born in 1964 in Marseille, France, received his Engineer degree in 1988 and PhD in 1990 at Aix-Marseille University. He worked as Associate Professor in the Mechanical Department of the Provence University in 1991, became professor in the same university in 1999. He was elected junior member of the University Institute of France during (2003-2008). He received the science and Defense Prize in 2006 and the Edmond Brun Prize of the Academy of Sciences in 2010. He is now Distinguished Professor of Mechanics and Senior Member of the University Institute of France. His scientific contributions are mainly in multiphase flow modelling, material interfaces, shocks and detonation, conservative and non-conservative hyperbolic systems with relaxation. In particular he is co-author of the “diffuse interface approach” that enables capturing of material interfaces with the same equations and same flow solver. He has published more than 80 papers in journals and invited in more than 30 conferences and workshops.

Prof. Dr. Nasrallah M. Deraz, Advanced Materials Chemistry and Catalysis, National Research Center, Egypt
Nasrallah M. Deraz was born on July 1, 1968 in El-Sharkia, Egypt. He received B. Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Physical Chemistry (Solid State, Surface Chemistry and Catalysis) in 1990, 1996 and 1999, respectively, from College of science, Zagazig University, Egypt. However, he received B. Law in 2005 from College of Laws, Zagazig University, Egypt. He joined Physical Chemistry Department, Laboratory of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt, since 1992 till now. He was awarded a Post- doctoral fellowship in 2004 to Institute of Materials Science, Structure Research, Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He joined Chemistry Department, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, since 2009 till 2013. Professor Deraz's research focuses on various aspects of the surface chemistry and catalysis. One topic of research is solid-state and nano-structured materials. The second topic is surface chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis. The third topic is science and technology of nano-materials.
